Progress Not Perfection
We support our students' growth and development by allowing them to progress at their own pace. Each student is a unique human being with specific strengths and weaknesses. It is unrealistic to expect all students to achieve academic benchmarks at the same age. We assess our students when they enter our school and this dictates where we start with them with regard to the instruction they receive.
We provide progress monitoring continuously throughout the year and parents are provided with weekly feedback in the form of GREATNESS Reports.

We help our children understand who they are, what their strengths are, and how to minimize their weaknesses. This is what we believe will prove of most value to them in real-life. Their GREATNESS is what makes them special, and we will help our students understand this.

Comfortable & Flexible
Why is it that adults get to be comfortable and productive with their seating and/or furniture while they are at work? But the complete opposite is inflicted on our kids while we are asking them to learn? The Academy “Way” is for our students to sit, stand, or lay on the floor in a manner and/or using furniture that is both comfortable and flexible. Our kids are human beings too gosh darnit!

Year-Round Calendar
Our year-round calendar is an example of our commitment to our students’ overall success. We keep students engaged in learning every month throughout a calendar year. Ultimately, our finish line is high school graduation. We view the continuum of learning as a marathon, not a sprint. We are proud of our year-round calendar and believe that it helps our teachers and students continue to be refreshed and ready to teach and learn.
